A - Bee - C's of Beekeeping

For those that are concerned about the plight of honeybees, this 3 session course will introduce you to Honeybees and Beekeeping. Learn the basics about honeybees, beehives and equipment before making the leap to become a beekeeper.

Join Michael Ardito as he will gently guide you in the art of typewriter repair and maintenance. Over 6 sessions you will become intimately involved in the workings of a typewriter as you bring an amazing piece of mechanical history back to life. You will learn how to use specific typewriter tools, proper technique, cleaning methods, how to oil and grease a typewriter, how to refinish a platen, how to wind your own ribbon..... and much much more. Michael Ardito brings personalized instruction with over 50 years of experience and an infectious enthusiasm to a truly unique class.

Forge Your Way Through Winter

Forge your way through winter with our knife making class!

This one day knife making intensive will focus on our new hand cranked, coal forge, where you will learn traditional Blacksmithing techniques to take a railroad spike and forge it into a knife.

Clay Day Workshop for Adults

Join us for this workshop to showcase our NEW Ceramics Studio!

Students will get a tour of our new ceramics studio, try out different ceramic hand building techniques, and get a short lesson using a pottery wheel.

Students will choose a glaze color for their finished pieces. Pieces will be glazed and fired at a later date by instructors. Students will be notified when fired pieces will be ready to pick up.

2.5 hour welding lessons followed by a wine tasting

Yes, you have been waiting for it. Now is your chance to channel your inner flashdancer. We are pleased to partner with the fabulous Lorie Honor of Honor Wines to offer this unusual pairing. This four week workshop will focus on steel mig welding, but students will get an overview of a variety of metal fabrication tools, materials, and techniques. By the end of the class, you will have a good grasp of the welding process and you will make your very own wine rack.
